Jumping balls
The following experiment of the bouncy balls is from the experiments that we will include inside the chemistry experiments. To perform the experiment we will need:
1) A transparent container.
2) Naphthalene (if they are very smooth we can sand them a little to see better the effect of the experiment).
3) Baking soda.
4) Vinegar.

Preparation method:
We add water to the container and put some balls of naphthalene and two or three tablespoons of baking soda. Add more water to fill three quarters of the container and then slowly add vinegar.
¿What's going on?
A chemical reaction takes place between the vinegar and the bicarbonate forming bubbles of carbon dioxide that adhere to the naphthalene balls and help them to float. When they reach the surface, the carbon dioxide passes into the air and the mothball drops down the container. We can see in the video the result of the experiment, we will see how the naphthalene balls go up and down inside the container.
