Social media in the 21st century

With the advent of social medias like facebook, twitter, instagram etc, the mentality of students especially in in higher institutions have change adversely as they would rather stay online updating their status than actually reading.

Social medias which has helped a lot in making the world a global village, has also contributed to the the rise in sexual immorality and violence which is common among most students. it has also caused some students to develop inferiority complex about themselves, their body etc . we see them trying to copy the lifestyle of celebrities and role models, paying less attention to what education has to offer.

The way forward?
schools should find a way of digitizing education, in order to stimulate the interest of students.
