Blue Mood and our Life

We all have been there, in our blue mood. We all have experience of depression and a story of the struggle to deal with our mood. Living with depression is terrifying.

It's like you are smiling but deep inside you know how sad you are. For me, it's like the fear to go to our home coz we know we have to face the darkness of the room.

People with depression can't pull their emotions. And that's why the blue mood phase is something like permanent for them.

How many happy faces do we see every day? How may smiles are pure? We are becoming a good actor day by day. The growing pressure of modern life is making us put a fake smile.

But do those smiles make us more functioning? Depression is a killer.

It has many faces, what you are experiencing may not match with others. Because we all have different emotions and ways of experiencing things.

But what's very common is most of us don't know they are facing depression. And as they don't know they don't take any measure to get over it which kills that person gradually.

• There's a term named 'smiling depression'. I think most of us suffering this. You may never hear of this term but the symptoms may seem familiar to you. Appearing with a smile in front of others while internally suffering depression is the major symptom. Sadness is the main reason for such depression. We don't want to give others any hint of what we are facing deep inside. But this causes more harm.

There're certainly many ways to deal with our blue mood and depression. Counseling and therapy are available there.

But we need to first realize and then have to trigger it personally. Otherwise, we can't find a way out. Don't put a smiling mask, don't be in your blue mood; if you feel bad - face it and deal with it. That's much more helpful.
