Are you a scanner personality??

If you ever said things to yourself like

„I ca never stick to anything“

„I know I should focus on one thing but which one“?

„I keep changing my mind about what I want to do and end up doing nothing“

„I won’t choose a career path because it might be the wrong one.“

then chances are good that you are a Scanner. Scanners are very special kind of thinker.

These people seem to never be satisfied with one area of interest and they are genetically wired to be interested in many things.

This behavior is a bit unfamiliar and even unsettling for every scanner because you’ve been taught that you are doing something wrong and you must try to change to be successful. But i think what you’ve been told is a mistake and you are just a different creature altogether.

Identifying yourself a Scanner means that you have to change the way you see yourself and that starts with understanding that you should stop trying to fit into the norm and begin to learn about who you really are.

Scanners usually love to read and write, design projects and businesses, cook and sing, and to fix and invent things.

To Scanners the world is like a big candy store filled with fascinating opportunities and all they want is to reach out and stuff their pockets.

The problem is that Scanners are almost starve in the candy store because they believe they are allowed to pursue only one path but of course they want them all !!!…and then don’t choose anything at all and they don’t really feel good about it. While some people happily narrowed down to one subject Scanners simply couldn’t.

It appears that Scanners are an unusual breed of human beings but one reason they don’t recognize themselves is that they don’t often meet people like themselves.

By contrast Scanners rarely think what other people are doing is empty. They’re always curious to know what’s out there and love to poke their nose into just anything and always spending a lot of time thinking about their next move.
Intense curiosity about numerous unrelated subjects is one of the most basic characteristics of a scanner personality.
In facht, Scanners often describe themselves as being hopelessly interested in everything and they doesn’t want to specialize in any of the things they love because that would mean giving up all the rest.

Of course that is not self-indulgence at all it is just the way Scanners are designed and there’s nothing they can do about it. He is genetically programmed to explore everything that interests him and that is his nature. If you ignore it you’ll always be fretful and dissatisfied.

If you feel a drive to constantly be feeding your mind and expressing or creating, rather than being 'satisfied' by a repetitive or regimented schedule or job... well then, that makes you a Scanner.
