Arise Youth And Students For Our Country

Every age must give birth to its own generation, and each generation must have its own way in facing the challenges and problems of his time.

Thus the historical doctrine has dictated that the changing world is the history of Youth and Students. In its history, Youth and Student have scratched their gold ink as avant garde in every change that happened to a nation.

The dynamics of Youth and Students continue to fluctuate when a nation experiences injustice and high social imbalance. The role of agent of change and agent of control on policy makers is always inherent in the minds of Youth and Students so it is not surprising that Youth and Students are always the driving force for change.

On Friday, February 2, 2018, 'Yellow Card Action' against President Joko Widodo conducted by Zaadit Taqwa (Chairman of BEM University of Indonesia 2018), likes dislike should be interpreted as a critical attitude of the young generation today, the misery of the people's life that resulted by the adoption of very liberal Government policies.

Currently the dynamics of Youth and Students have started to squirm and have found its momentum. The socio-economic objective conditions of the society should be able to awaken Youth and Students to rise together in rejecting policies that harm the people.

The emerging 'Yellow Card Action' movement should be nurtured and knit back into one National Movement that has strong compressive and strong power. The Intra-Extra Student Organizations of Campus and Youth should be classified as organizing bases. This must be done so that Youth and Students have a deep-rooted awareness and courage in taking a common action in the changing nation.

As we all know, the ruling Government does not want to learn from history, where all the prescriptions of political economy are always devoted to the interests of foreign capital. So the impact of poverty is rampant, unemployment is rising, the destruction of domestic industries, corruption is rampant, and the prices of people's needs soar. In fact, the law that should be a commander in fact becomes a tool of power to suppress the power that is considered undermining.

We have seen it ourselves, how the law is not prioritized and enforced properly. The current law is like a knife stabbed up more blunt, but when pierced down the sharp.

The ruling government makes the subjects' objects to policies devoted to the interests of foreign capital and national oligarchy. This is tantamount to not carrying out the mandate of the constitution of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Then, the condition is exacerbated by the behavior of political elites that do not show the attitude of a statesman who is able to bring the nation and people to a better direction.

Portrait is what should be a stimulus of all elements of Youth and Students in taking the role of changing times. Momentum of change must be ripe not based on the ambition of heartache, but really on consciousness to save RED WHITE.

Momentum changes that have been in front of our eyes must be seized. Youth and Students must play a role and dare to perform. The dialogue doors on campus should be opened wide to evaluate the direction of Government policy that does not fulfill the constitutional mandate of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Therefore, arise Youth and Students! We must be Straight Generation, not the Generation Generator of Hypocrisy and Crime!
