Follow me down the rabbit hole . . . minds of mystery - part 1
The human mind is capable of many things, perhaps none more peculiar than the ability to prophesy future events or to show how it can be more powerful than everyday matters. Strange events take place that provide no logical explanations for their occurrence.
Here are a few fascinating cases.
Joan Grant
Historical novelist that believes that she has been on this earth at least 42 times and that her memory of past
lives has provided her with material for her books. She claims her past life was that of Sekeeta, a Pharaoh's
daughter who became a ruler-priest. Joan believed profoundly that events in previous existences could have an affect on the present.
A.J. Stewart
Ever since she was a child, she has been haunted by the feeling that she was somebody else. Her other self was
James IV, the Scottish king who was killed at the battle of Flodden in 1513. She claims that with a almost audible
click of consciousness she found herself in what seemed to be a 16 century battlefield.
Bridey Murphy
Under hypnosis Mrs Virgininia Tighe an American housewife became a little girl who lived in 19 century Ireland and whose name was Bridey Murphy. The story is one of the most celebrated in the records of regression hypnosis, a technique which is claimed can sometimes take the subjects so far back in time that previous lives are revealed. She could describe her infant years and then when pushed further, described her hole previous life of Bridey and how she died and watched her burial. She even describes the state of being after death and somehow was reborn in America.
Jane Evans
A Cardiff housewife who took part in an experiment in hypnosis only to find herself giving details of her past
lives. Bloxham recorded each session which millions viewed on television. Bloxham had by then achieved 400
regressions with various subjects but Jane produced the most intense dramatic results. Her screams of sheer
terror as she met her death at the hands of the mob in an historic massacre. She appeared to live again in 6 past existence.
First she was a Roman matron living in occupied Britain in the 4th century A.D.
Alison a servant in the house of the 15th century merchant prince Jacques Coeur.
Anna maid of honor to the Spanish Infanta, Catherine of Aragon.
Anna Tasker, a London sewing maid in Queen Anne's time 17 - 18th century.
Rebeca 12th century Jewess in York.
Sister Grace, an enclosed order of nuns in Des Monones, Iowa.
For all these lives she showed a knowledge of contemporary events that one would not expect a 20th century Welsh housewife to have.
Geraldine Cummins
A tiny Irish women from County Cork, sat at her desk in 1920's and wrote a vivid compelling addition to the New Testament. Her words, biblical in style, continued the story of Paul, telling how slaves tried to murder Barnabas his companion of the great missionary journeys and religious turmoil of the Middle East after the death of Christ. She had no knowledge of the Greek, Latin or Hebrew that would have been necessary had she obtained her material simply through research. Geraldine produces a staggering amount of work from the spirit world, including dictating the words of Cleopatra and of Major Henry Tennant mother whom she never met.
Rosemary Brown
1964 South London, Rosemary sat down at her piano. 2nd hand and taken only a few lessons, her hands suddenly flying across the keys. Music she had never heard before was filling the air, looking up, she saw a figure beside her. Franz Liszt who had died in 1886, expected her to write down the music. One by one she said they came to her, the spirits of Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy, Schumann, Bach, Rachmaninov and Brahms, Berlioz and Monteverdi queuing up to use her, to communicate their unwritten work.
Pearl Curran
Pearl baked well, kept a tidy house but never showed any interested in the world beyond the US. In 1913 she went to a seance, what happened there turned her into a literacy phenomenon. Perfect Elizabethan English and manuscripts rich in details of places entirely foreign to her experience. Further seances produced the information that Patience Worth who had died in 1641. Over a span of nearly 3 decades Pearl published a number of Patience Worth's historical novels.
Patience conveyed to Pearl that she was unhappy that she had not married or beard children and instructed her to adopt a baby girl. Patience instructed the baby must be red haired, blue eyes and be of Scottish descent. She was obviously describing herself. Pearl adopted a child that fit that description and she grew up under the ghostly eye of Patience. When the child was only 27 she had a premonition of approaching death. She begun to lose weight rapidly and just before Christmas 1943 died in her sleep.
Robert James Lees
Was he responsible for tracking down Jack the Ripper? There are authorities who believe he was and there is a box in archives following the investigating. Robert was a remarkable clairvoyant who was received more than once both at Balmoral and Buckingham palace by Queen Victoria herself. He was only 19 when the Queen summed him for the 1st time and discussed physic matters.
