Life with Nikolatka #15 - LEGEND OF THE GREAT STONE
Hello Steem People!
Yesterday, we visited The Great Stone - which is a stone lying in the forest near small town called Habartov.
And since this place left a special feeling in me, I decided to google some information about it. Of course, I found some very mysterious stuff - a legend. Here is a translation for you.
In the neighborhood of Habartov was the house where the forester Frohner and his daughter Bärbl lived. Frogner worked with his younger assistant, Gebhardt. Frohner's daughter was a nice and lovely twenty-year-old girl. She had to provide a home for her deceased mother. As she regularly encountered a forester's helper, love flashed between them. Father tolerated their relationship and wanted them to be happy. When one day Bärbl met a handsome knight while walking in the woods. He was himself the knight Ferdinand of Harteberg. They talked a few words together and they arranged a "date" tomorrow. The Knight waited for her at the agreed time at the agreed place. Bärbl followed him to the place, where she heard the rasping of the horse. Bärbl scared and asked the knight to come back. At that moment, the knight Ferdinand gave a sign. In a moment, Bärbl was surrounded by several men. They put her on horseback, and in a wild canter she was carried away unknown.
It did not take long and arrived in the courtyard. It was only now that Bärbl realized the trap. In the castle itself, Bärbl was worshiped almost as a goddess. In spite of this and all other knight's efforts, she remained mostly alone and refused any visit. Only one Miss was allowed access to Bärblin's chambers. Only after learning the real story, she decided to help Bärbl. It took a long time for Bärbl to convince her that it was not a trick, but then she was willing to accept the help offered by goodwill.
Meanwhile, sadness was in the housekeeper's house. The forester and his helper did not find any trace to find where Bärbl was looking for. They searched the entire forest, but without success. The days passed and the mood in the house was getting worse. One evening, Frohner and Gebhardt had been particularly uncomfortable, and suddenly they heard a blow. A tree fell to the door. Gebhardt walked open the door and could not believe his own eyes. Bärbl stood there. He pulled her in and closed the door behind her. Only after a certain recovery did he tell her how much he suffered from the pain during her little adventure. Together with Bärbl, happiness and joy returned to the house. The wedding was to take place immediately.
After being married, Knight Ferdinand appeared in their home. The discovery of marriage had led him to anger and left this house again. In the distance he paused and threw a threatening curse into words that were at the same time a curse: "The stones from you and the buildings will become!" At that moment the words sounded like a distant thunder, and a mighty roar thrust the forest cottage into a stone and buried her and her staff. Since then, there has been a "Big Stone" forest house.
The forest's beauties :)
Until the next time!
