Beginnings and Endings

in #life6 years ago (edited)

As the curtain begins to close on the comedy and tragedy that was 2018, I take stock of my actions and decisions and try to assign meaning to each. As I reflect upon the past, I also look to the bright tomorrow that 2019 can be. I love the potential it holds for us all. Now is the magical time to learn from mistakes and victories and make plans and goals to capture the essence of our dreams for a brighter future.

I am definitely not satisfied with some of my decisions and the outcomes they set in motion, but overall I would say it was a good year. Of course, there were disappointments, but honestly the impact a disappointment has greatly depends on the amount of power you allow it to have in your life. I am a huge believer that everything happens for a reason and so many of our "failures" are huge opportunities hidden within the embrace of sorrow. Having the ability to step outside of a situation and see it without emotional judgement is a beautiful tool and a key to obtaining lasting happiness.

One thing that weighed a bit heavy on me towards the end of the year was the amount of backstabbing and conflict emerging on Weku. It is so completely unnecessary and the more we work as a family the great the success of the platform will be. There were also moments that I felt completely disenfranchised with Steemit and the amount of work and dedication it takes to make a few pennies. I am extremely excited about the potential that Easylife and EasySocial are showing and I am very proud to be an early adopter of these platforms. They have the potential to change the face of the social/crypto world.

An issue towards the end of the year at my "real" job caused me to neglect some of my crypto passions and now that it is resolved I hope to plunge headlong back into the crypto projects I'm involved with. I am looking forward to the rebound in prices within the crypto world and I plan to keep my eyes open for promising projects. There are some really great things planned for The Man Cave and Brocoin as well as the other projects that have found a home on the EasyDex system.

I think my biggest regret or disappointment in myself was home much time and energy I wasted on material things that absolutely have no bearing on the health and well being of my soul. Too often, the things I slave away my time and efforts for are not going to mean anything in the grand scheme of things. At the end of my Earthy journey, I'm not going to be proud of all the extra hours I worked for people who would replace me before my corpse was cold. I have worked way to hard for other people and organizations instead of working more towards the things that are going to bring satisfaction and contentment to myself and my family. There is no time like the present and tomorrow is another chance to forge forward to the destiny we all deserve.

I hope we all take a longer look at what we really want and take tangible steps to achieve our dreams. Thank you all for walking with me on this crazy journey we call life!! Happy New Year(early)!!!!

I do not make New Years resolutions any more but this time is always a good one to look back onthe year and set some directions for the upcoming New Year

Taking this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2019

I agree, I love to set goals but resolutions just aren't for me anymore.

Thats the way I am as well goals are better way to go NEws Years resolutions are so often ideas people know for themselves they will never achieve but for one breath moment they seem achievable
