Do you believe in happily ever after? I’ve done enough weddings in my lifetime to know that there are a lot of people who dream of happily ever after, but never really get there. As I watched this couple get out of their car, hold hands going into the store and be holding hands coming out of the store, I imagined what they must have been like 50 years earlier. What they must have gone through together. The pains and the laughter.

I believe. Do you?

It can happen..."happily" is a relative term though...I find the longer my wife are together...the stronger the appreciation is for what we have achieved...we also realize its a daily relationship...no magic answers...I've known couples that lasted a week...a year...65 years...unfortunately...I think younger folks today think of marriage as no big deal...if a few years later you aren't "happy"....its okay to move on....as well...seems like too much attention is put into the wedding itself and not the reality of what it truly takes to have a future together....
