LIFE AFTER SCHOOL: WHAT'S IT GOING TO BE LIKE

A 400 level aspiring Mechanical engineer in the University. Just finished my last first semester paper today. I haven't posted in a while cause of my exams and I've missed everyone here on this platform. After my exams today when I got home, i realized how very close I am to finishing with school and going into the real world.

Not to sound soft, but I am quite scared. I am scared of the "must Suffer" tag that comes with Post University life. The fact that everyone seems to always say that you must suffer to make it in life. I'm not a lazy person, neither am I the most hardworking person out here but the idea of the troubles, sleepless nights, long stressful days out in the sun kinda freaks me out and I need someone out here to tell me that it's not that hard but I guess I might never find that Person here.

I'm scared of the fact that I might not turn out to be what is expected of me by the people that believe in me, I'm scared that I might dissapointed my family and friends, I'm scared that I might end up being just another statistic of unemployed youths in the country or that i might become another one whose a menace to society.

I don't know what lies out there for me after school but I hope and really hope I turn out good. I hope I surprise myself and the doubts I have about my abilities.

It's nice to have someplace where I can just pour out my thoughts without getting mocked.. I'm happy to be back.
