Strikethrough letters
This exercise is based on the Bourdon test, which is aimed at detecting the development of concentration, stability, and the switching of attention. You will need a sheet of paper, on which randomly arranged rows of letters. Instead of letters you can use figures, figures. You can take a text from a newspaper or a magazine text.
Steady attention begins to develop actively only by 9-10 years. Until this time, attention is usually, involuntary, unstable, short-term nature. Children can easily concentrate on what they like and are interested in, in other cases it takes enough effort to focus. Therefore, it is important to form the child's habit of being attentive, since the lack of development of attention entails a number of problems.
Attributes of inattention:
- The child can not concentrate on the details, makes mistakes by inattention
- There is an inability to keep attention and listen to the speech addressed to the child
- Increased distractibility
- The child can not bring the matter to an end independently, without outside help and reminders
- Negative attitude towards assignments, where the child needs stress
Avoid such problems if you take into account the individual characteristics of the child and apply exercises that focus on developing attention.
