Geography homework - challenge yourself
I'm teaching pupils in a diploma school. Below I'm pasting the last homework I gave them. If you dare, you can challenge yourself and find out how many points you'll get. A full point for every task. Max 15 points. Interested?
In Poland, we have drainage basins of 5 rivers, excluding the rivers going directly to the sea. Name at least three of them (names of rivers will be sufficient).
You can go from Szczecin to Berlin by boat using rivers and canals. Name one canal that you will have to use during such trip (out of potential four).
Berlin is the capital city of one of the European countries. In the southern part of this country starts its run one of the largest rivers on our continent. Name this river. How many countries does this river cross or touch a border? Name half of those countries.

Coming back to dams. The power station with the largest capacity in the world is located in China. It's the Three Gorges Dam. Across which river this dam was built?

In Asia, there is the largest river delta in the world. Provide the name of this delta and explain what the term 'delta' means.
The world's second largest river delta you can find also in Asia. This one was famous because of its significance during one of the XX-century wars. Name this war.
The second longest river with the biggest discharge in the world is located in South America. What is the name of this river?
North from the above-mentioned river, you can find the tallest waterfall in the world. Provide the name and the country of this waterfall location.
