His Power Over the Storms

Our Heavenly Father did not promise us a life without storms; a life free of trouble. But he promised us that, even in the storms, he is with us. His power defies nature, there is nothing too hard for Him; He is omnipotent.

You may be going through trials, through problems as you read this; you have prayed and prayed and yet no answer.

You may be thinking...”God has deserted me” or even worse, “there is no God” but wait! I encourage you not to relent.
For your God has not deserted you, maybe, like in the passage above, he is just sleeping. This is not to say our God sleeps, continue praying, and when the time is right, he will arise and rebuke the storms. “Peace! Be still”

To illustrate this, let me tell you this story:

A young lady dreamt she was
walking along the beach with God and scenes from her life flashed across the dark sky.

She noticed two sets of footprints in the sand for each scene;one belonging to her and one to her Lord.

After the last scene, she looked back
at the footprints in the sand and
noticed that at the very lowest and saddest times,there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled her so she asked the Lord:
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered to her “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.When you saw only one set of footprints,It was then that I carried you."
