Mr. Ralph's Adventure Series Episode 4
First things first, I recently had my Mr. Ralph account hacked and wiped so a ton of awesome travelling documentation was lost :/. On the upside, now I have to travel more to replace what I once had.
Today in honor of the summer of 2018 that has just passed, our adventure will take us to some warm places.
The first location is Lake Anna right in the heart of Virginia. This lake has always been a relaxing place to check out of reality and truly enjoy mother nature.
Fun fact - Lake Anna is a man-made lake that serves the purpose of cooling the reactor at the power plant on the far end of the lake a couple miles away. Don't worry, the lake is safe for some fun in the sun!
Our next location takes us back to Las Vegas Nevada. In a previous episode, I showed you some of the exotic cars we got to drive. This time I had to give you the iconic sign that every tourist needs to see. If you went to Vegas and didn't go get a picture at the sign, did you really go to Vegas?
The final picture was taken at Smith Mountain Lake in Southwest Virginia. Again, lakes and any body of water I have found is the best way to relax and escape the business and daily duties of our fast paced lives. This picture also captures the 4th of July Lakeapalooza that has come to be a regular tradition over the years.
For those of you who are about to enter the colder part of the year, enjoy the remaining days of warmth left.
Keep on keeping on Steemit fam!
Absolutely love Lake Anna and SML. My family goes to SML every year for vacation and some quick trips to Anna. SML is definitely my favorite of the two, but Anna is nice and not quite as busy during the week. You do any wakeboarding or anything like that?
Yes I do actually, even though I am not the best. I have a wakeboard stored at my buddies place on Lake Anna, which we get to go out a couple of times a year. I used to wakeboard a lot more when I lived in Texas. It was more lucrative to purchase a board rather than rent every time I wanted to do some laps at a cable park. I wish there were cable parks here in the mid-Atlantic which would make riding much more feasible for me on a regular basis. If i go off of your steemit name, sounds like you spend a fair amount of time on boats. I am sure that has slowed a bit with you being a new dad and all. Congrats on the baby girl!
Nice man! Yea I grew up going to both lakes every summer. We wakeboard, ski, kneeboard, wakeskate - all that fun stuff. I've never been to a cable park but they look like so much fun. Luckily we were able to take her with us to the lake this past summer with the family so she didn't cut into it too much. That's our yearly family vacation, so it makes it nice mom and dad are paying for all the toys/gas/etc. haha.
Thank you sir!
