Unexpected, but not surprising

in #life6 years ago

Some of you probably have noticed my absence, others probably haven't.

I've been struggling for a little while, and a bit over a week ago I was helped to make the decision to call the doctor and get help. That appointment was Monday week ago, and I pretty much lost 3 days starting the new medication he put me onto. I finally think I'm reaching a bit of a stable point, but I still think that there are other issues going on surrounding it causing some of the side effects to be not as nice as last time.

Yeah, it's been a while now since I stopped my last round on them, but I was always aware that there probably will come a time when I'd need help again. The trick was recognising it before a complete failure, which I think I've managed this time.

Now to start the systematic rebuild and find a new life balance which is workable and enjoyable.

Hope you’re doing better mate. Take care of yourself.

Thanks, I'm certainly working on both of those things

It takes a lot to get help with these issues, and it takes a whole lot more to post it on the internet. I hope things get a bit better for you, good to see you getting needed help.

Having been through the fight before, and more generally having been fighting the battle for over 20 years, I'm getting pretty good at recognising the need for external assistance. I'm also getting good at realising when I need help to make decisions.

I'm so thankful that I've got a great support hub that check in on me

I hope you are doing much better. Have a great weekend.

Yeah, more balanced as the drugs start working properly, but today has been a horrible headache day while still getting out and seeing my little family and getting Santa photos done

Wishing that you will be given all the support you need to be and stay well @ratticus. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Thanks. My support network is good and have all been helpful in their own ways while things aren't the best for me

You can only do what you think is best for you and yours in the moment. Never give up.

Absolutely. I've got a small but excellent support network, and I'm very much not the type to give up.

Glad you're addressing it, mate. No room for bravado. You need help, you get help.
That's how you look after your family. We have enough dead heroes.

Absolutely. I'm not about to let this beat me, just like I haven't let anything else beat me in the past.

Hope you recover quick :)

It's been a while since I was in touch @ratticus and I called in to wish you a Happy and rewarding New Year. So, I was sad to hear that you have been going through challenges but it's great to hear you're making great progress. I hope 2019 will be a very special one for you and your family.

Thanks. So far this year is going well. My meds are keeping me pretty well balanced, and I'm getting other medical things sorted out one thing at a time. Though the minor ligament tear that I've done certainly has slowed things up a bit.

I didn’t understand what kind of health problems you have, but eat more fresh fruits, positive thinking, walking and maybe read about medical fasting on water / dry and be healthy)
