REMEMBER OF OUR TRIP TO THE MERIDA STATE PART I

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Venezuela is a beautiful country, both for its natural beauty and its people, that is why I want to share with you memories of my visit with family and a friend to one of the most attractive tourist regions of our country as is the Merida state.

Because in a single post I could not relate everything related to our visit and the adventures that we live there, I will do it in several installments, hoping that you appreciate appreciated readers.

After having completed a year of work in a family business in which I work with my wife and thinking about a well-deserved vacation, I surprised her with the following question: My love, would you like to go on vacation to Merida? To which she was more happy than a child with a new toy, she answered yes. Then a friend of the family named Juan Carlos and who was working with us for the moment, was in charge of finding out which tourist inn we could get to and among several options we chose the Posada Doña Luisa, located in a town called La Mesa de Los Indios. Approximate distance of 20 km from the city of Merida, the capital of the state.

We made reservations for six people, my wife Maria, my daughter Susana, Juan Carlos family friend, my nephew named Jeziel, my older son Steven and me. And even if you can not believe it, neither Steven nor Jeziel wanted to go, and even though we tried to convince them to change their minds, they did not; Because we had reservations for six people and we had two seats available, we decided to invite my older sister Nailet and her daughter Samay, who did not hesitate for a moment to accept.

The day of the trip to Mérida arrived and the excitement between us was evident, we went to the terminal, got on the bus that would take us and we started a trip that lasted approximately 14 hours, since we left about six in the afternoon and arrived as Eight in the morning of the next day.
As soon as we arrived, we contacted the person in charge of Doña Luisa Inn, who happened to pick us up at the terminal and took us to the inn, offered us his hospitality and gave us directions so that we could enjoy the facilities of the inn and our stay in the town (The Table of the Indians).

After unpacking our things and settling in a room with capacity for six people, we set out to visit the surroundings of the inn where we found the town's Bolívar Square, a Catholic church called Parroquia Santiago Apóstol, the Antonio Valero music school and a ice cream shop located on the ground floor of the inn where we were staying, then in the afternoon Maria and Nailet prepared a delicious dinner in the kitchen of the inn which we could use as one of the advantages of our lodging.

At nightfall we went to the plaza where Susana and Samay had a lot of fun skating and we enjoyed the pleasant night time and tranquility of the square, when we returned to the inn we passed by the ice cream shop and savored some delicious ice cream before going to rest on our first day of visit and this was just the beginning of an unforgettable vacation in Merida.
