Mother of all Pakistani wedding!

Pakistan saw its’ longest wedding last year, where it lasted over 8 months! Anush Ammar is grand daughter of a former senator, and Munib Altaf’s wedding ceremony began in January 2016 in Lahore with their Dholki and ended in August 2016  in Istanbul. Billions of rupees were spent on the wedding. () 

Let start with the very first and probbaly most important function for the Muslims is Nikkah ceremony.

• Nikkah

The nikkah of the couple was held in Pakistan (Lahore) Badshahi Mosque. …

• Nikkah reception

The Couple had a Nikkah Reception as well! When we saw pictures of Nikah we believe that this was much the same as other weddings. but everybody was wrong.

• Sangeet

Sangeet of the couple was held in Turkey. From a series of extremely expensive designer dresses to Disney themed parties and foreign videography and photograpy.

A year back, Pakistan was bombarded by the phenomenon that is #AnushMunib

• Disney Princess Gone Tipsy Party

After the fairy tale mehndi, there came the ‘Disney Princess Gone Tipsy’ themed wedding party

here comes Anush’s sister NoorJahan 

The guests were all dressed…interestingly, but the couple took the crown

• Bridal shower

No wedding is complete without a bridal shower these days and this one was a HUGE event.

Basically  Bridal shower is showering the bride with all the pictures, tiaras, jewels and everything in between so she can practice for her big day, apparently. 

• Wedding Party [Boat Cruise party]

The wedding now goes up a few hundred notches.The wedding party headed over to Istanbul, 

How can it possible  a lavish wedding without a boat cruise party ?

• Club night

Of course, After Cruise party there must be a club party-

• Another Party

I don’t quite know what this event was, but people were dressed up.

By this point, we lost count of how many events this wedding had.

The lady in yellow, right next to the bride is the bride’s mom. 

*Drum Roll* The Final Event…

• Reception

The final and last event of  Fairy tale Wedding drew to a close.
