RE: A Mexican Independence Day trip - ¡Viva México! - Day 1: San Miguel de Allende
Hi @churdtzu
When you mention you ate mole in your post above, is it as in the little animal that lives under ground?
Very nice post
Hahaha... It's an amazing Mexican dish... very famous and very popular within Mexico, but it seems to be almost unknown without Mexico. The most popular is mole poblano - "the concoction from Puelba". It's made with about 10 or 20 ingredients, bread, tortilla, nuts, seeds, fruit, chile and chocolate. So it has this mix of flavours: sweet, spicy, bitter. If you're ever in Mexico, or see it on a menu, I highly recommend trying it. I think I'll go get some now.
Thank you for the reply, now more people outside of Mexico will know what mole is.
