#Drama would find us. It's impossible to live a drama free life. What you can do is to remove the ones you don't have to go through. Say, a tongue-lashing from a worthless ex-partner; unplanned pregnancies and

1. Be honest in all your dealings.

Honesty is the way. Not the easy way. Oh no! It may not always get you what you want and leave you disappointed more than half the time. To live a drama-free life, you've got to walk the path of honesty. The other path comes with a lot of drama and hurt. The path of honesty may be a lonely one. What you need is courage.

2. Know when to say no.

If you're a yes man, drama would always follow you or should I say, you would always find drama and it's not in hiding. Drama would gladly draw you in and have you buried in the muck before you can say No! Your partner doesn't want to use protection cos he or she trusts you? Ha! Trust me and your body! It would not pass up the opportunity to make a baby or the std you would be better off without. Your friend invites you somewhere you don't have any business going? Or is it the attractive person in the office asking your exclusive-ass out for drinks? You know what to do to avoid drama. Say no when you need to and love a drama-free life.

3. Choose your relationships.

Does this sound like something a snob may say? Eh, maybe. Of course, you can't choose your family. Not the one you were born into anyway but you can choose the family you make. A potential partner, a friend... You know what to do. Get some standards, make a list and know what you want. This way, when someone you don't want in your life shows up you would know how to wisely use honesty to get them out or at least not as close to you. Our hormones and feelings could lead us to make not-so-wise choices sometimes. What we can do is learn from our mistakes and not try to repeat them.

Here's an extra tip just for you. Being an overall good human being is another way to avoid unnecessary drama. Be one.
