I Am Good!

In my recent travels, I came across an African tribe that does the most beautiful thing. I had read about this before somewhere yet did not believe it was true!

When someone does something hurtful and wrong, they take the person to the center of their community center, and the entire tribe comes and surrounds the person.

They each take turns telling the person every good thing they have ever done.

The tribe believes that every human being comes into the world as Good, each of us desiring safety, love, peace, happiness.

But sometimes in the pursuit of those things people make mistakes. The community sees misdeeds as a cry for help.

They band together for the sake of their fellow beings to hold each other up, to reconnect them with their true Nature, to remind them who they really are, until they fully remember the truth from which they had temporarily been disconnected:

"I AM GOOD."

Can you imagine what your friends, your family and your community would be like with this practice of lifting each other up instead of tearing each other down.
