Is fruit sugar just as harmful as candy?
If vegetables are the kings of healthy food, fruits have always been part of the royal court: not so important but very respectful.
But now that nutrition guides are increasingly warning about the ills of eating sugar , some people are questioning whether fruits should continue to be part of a healthy diet.
Reach by just looking at Twitter to see the confusion that has been generated.
"My pilates instructor says the fruit is full of sugar and that a banana has the same amount as a Snickers bar," says one user.
"The sugar in the fruit and the processed food are not the same", assures another person.

Nutritionist Lauri Wright, a specialist in Public Health and a spokeswoman for the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, explains that-indeed- the sugar in fruit and added sugar are not the same thing .
