Break from social media
Well this last week we lost a baby chick, and even though this is the first one out of 25 that we've raised that we lost, it hit hard. It isn't clear why it died at 5 weeks old and it's caused me to watch the others like a hawk (but not so I can figure out a way to eat them lol).
On top of the passing of the chick, my toddler has learned how to open the front door and climb in and out of her high chair... I swear this girl has literally no fear. Seriously, she runs TOWARDS you if you say your going to get her. But seriously need some time away from this crazy curious toddler, can't seem to catch up and have even a speck of the energy she has and it's starting to wear down my mental health. I've said go away to her too many times in the past few days. Too much headstrong in mom and daughter equals to butting heads and frustrated love relationship.
And today was the teenagers first day back at public school. Dealing with a teen that suffered from the mental abuse of feeling worthless and not good enough that turned into severe depression and lead to cutting at school was just about as stressful as what she had to have been going through. But she's doing so much better, I think just being in an established home that is stable and permanent has given her the base she needed to feel safe bad secure.
Now we just have to get past the rain beating down gloom and muggy hot weather and the weekend will be good!
