Life in a loop

There was always the 'somethings'
something that set you back
something that made you want to step back
the hesitations and the gut feeling
that something was not right
the hunches and the doubts that stopped you from taking the dive
life was never a story of success
it was meant for the rich and the famous
the ones who were always full of health and happiness
did they never have the 'somethings'?
but there were also great people
people who rose from the ashes
people who stood for what they thought was right
and never cared if the somethings tried to hold them back
it did not take a 'mask' to uncover themselves or set them on the right path
it was just their determination to overcome the 'somethings'
that tried to hold them back
