They finished an Ultra Marathon hand in hand!
My boys on a hike yesterday.
I just read about this while going through my daily reading. Here is the link:

So basically, these 2 guys put in the second fastest time the course had ever seen. Instead of sprinting to beat the other and get the glory, the decided to finish with the same time and make it about each other.
Look, I know this sounds pretty soft, and I am currently arguing with the competitor in me, but don't you think the world needs a little more of these types of displays right now.
We are so caught up in ourselves...what I want...what I a not getting...how things aren't fair for me.
Imagine a place where that is set aside. Where we pursue greatness, but not greatness for our own sake...greatness for moving things forward for everyone.
Now this is not something I believe can be forced on society through policy or rule. It has to be something that each of us as individuals work towards so we can influence the people around of.
All we have is our own actions at the end of the day. Do you want to tell the story of lifting someone up, or of leaving them behind.
Us vs. Us.
