My first time out since the lockdown started

in #life5 years ago

Today I went out and had a little bit fun for the first time since the first corona case seen in Turkey, which was in the middle of the March. After spending three months in a lockdown, today I and my mom decided that we would go to the beach, swim and sunbath a little---since I think I'd started to turn into a zombie already due to not seeing the sunrise for three months-. Also, swimming made me feel very refreshed because I finally could move my legs except for walking from my room to the kitchen, which is not quite a long distance as you'd guess.

This beach is in Ilıca, Çeşme in Turkey, which is heavenly beautiful. Though at first, I worried that it would be crowded therefore dangerous, it wasn't crowded as usual. It is a huge beach that is why I think it can accommodate a lot of people at once without making them hang out close to each other.

When I looked around, people seemed to be enjoying their time there but keeping the social distance at the same time. So I guess it is okay to go out sometimes, breathe some fresh air and see the sun if you are careful about the social distance and hygiene. Given that Coronavirus will stay with us for a very long time, I think people are slowly getting used to living with this virus and continue their everyday lives somehow. However, it sucks that we still couldn't get rid of this and don't have any idea when we will. I wish everyone take all the precautions seriously so that hopefully we can accelerate the speed of ending this virus.
