Poverty Is The Oldest Disease, Still Endemic In 21st Century

In This Age Of Social Media, billions of social shares hit our devices every day. They don’t cost us anything, but they do bring us gratification enough to keep doing it day in and day out.
Let’s be known for changing the world by sharing our influence for a good cause. What can be a better cause than spreading the wealth and impacting poverty without having to pay for it? It does not cost you anything to share your influence. Please share our message and help us cause a big dent in our universe.
I think we have been taught for far too long to value ourselves in the world in terms of what we can earn and accumulate... and so we end up in this eternal state of fear that we don't have enough. As long as we have that fear, we will try to "hoard" wealth. Hoarding is based in the fear that we inhabit a world of scarcity... and with the fear of scarcity, we end up with people who go without... aka poverty.
My wife and I are not far above the US federal "poverty level" income, and yet we feel like we have "enough." We have a pretty good life. It would be nice to face fewer "shutoff notices" from the utility companies, but we manage. Yet... very few people would "accept" living as we do... people seem to think they are owed trips to Bora-Bora and Jaguars to drive. Why? To what end?
Always in favor of participating in anything that's a "pay it forward" to those who have less...
What a coincidence!!
Just about when you made this comment I shared similar thoughts on another blog that claimed that $1 million is not enough to protect your lifestyle. Enough can never be enough for some.
If it is a disease it's a disease of political economy where the only thing that matters is to accumulate wealth, take a look at the Forbes Rich list it's full of wealth accumulators. For a system of society where wealth production and distribution is held in common and not left to a minority of wealthy individuals visit www.worldsocialism.org / spgb regards ian.
Well if socialism would have solved the poverty problem the wealth gap would not keep increasing in all most all socialistic countries. As long as socialists and capitalists focus on hating each other nothing will change. I think we need to revisit socialism in a non-partisan way you will see the problems with all "isms". You check my posts on Prosperism and see why none of the isms can solve the problem.

Resteemed this post👏
It s done.
Poverty is also a global problem, some people understand this term subjective and comparative, while others see it morally and evaluatively, and others understand it from an established scientific standpoint.
Will it every be cured?
Thanks for the support!
Cannot claim to completely eradicate all forms of poverty. But with Prosperism powered by AlgoShare tech we are taking baby steps to reduce the perpetually growing wealth gap and hopefully check extreme poverty. A support from Steemit community will make a big difference. :)
Find me in discord if you have some time ;)
Hi, I'm part of the sharonomics team and have been trying to find you on discord. Could I have some details so we can connect? Looking forward to interacting with you.
Thank You
I'm keeping you in mind. Swamped right now but will read everything
For some reason, Discord doesn't allow me to send you messages any more...
I am not on discord unfortunately, but my associate tried connecting you on discord.
I must have missed it somehow, let him drop your name. I also periodically check chat. If you find a moment :)
hoarding of treasures is not a solution to victory and happiness. but if all we enjoy what has been there is happiness. I only work as a lecturer at a small university certainly my income is also small. but I manage well, so we do not complain and live happily with my family
@yogaunimal nobel thought in your words. Please read my response to @denmarkguy and also $1 million is not enough to protect your lifestyle. Enough can never be enough for some.
if we do not understand how to live properly, no matter how rich our wealth will be, as rich as the king of SALMAN, like the king of Sultan bokiah. really like you say, never enough.
For me, if everyone just reach out to 1 person, we'll solve poverty in a day. I think poverty can only be solved through partnering with one another and through relational ways.
We can't solve poverty by dumping money into a impoverish community. We need to stick with them, work with them and grow with them.
Sadly most only think of what they can gain from a situation rather than building community and relationship which is of course gonna involve love and sacrifice.
Well prosperism needs no sacrifice just incentivized and equitable sharing. 🙂
Cheers :)
I think that's the part I'm slowly grasping and having my mind renewed :D
very nice picture art !!
grate artist !!
Poverty is the base state of mankind. Everybody is born essentially poor. Wealth is then acquired, by any means!
If it was just a state of mind like love, happiness, people wouldn't still be dying of hunger. I would think it is the net result of the socioeconomic / sociopolitical system one lives in and one's own attitude in dealing with the system.
people like you restore my faith in humanity i joined up with a few other gangs of bricklayers last year to build a house for charity... power is in numbers and every person counts . much love
Thanks for your kind words. Everyone is capable of contributing something to a cause. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)
let's campaign for SBD donations to the poor, so that it can alleviate them.
I will participate to support your campaign. @sharonomics
