AN OPEN DAY FOR HAND CRAFT SHOW.
last week was an open day in uganda, on this day there was many sorts of hand craft to be done and also shown to the people.,, almost the whole country has been working hard since last month and probably we went around to see what every body was doing for the last four weeks,
The people have almost finished most of the hand craft objects they have been making . they have made hats ,baskets, mats and sandals, some of the men had curved small carved wooden elephants and giraffes.
The men had made the sandals out of old tyres, while at the crafting place , the advisor asked the women to open the cup board and get out pairs of sandals , now as we were walking around the room where craft pieces where put looking at some unfinished objects, some of the women had made sub standard work, and it could not look like a pair of complete work,
And finally the advisor told them to undo the work in order to do it again and it looks perfect.
As the women had fished matching the sandals and have already tied them together in pairs , the advisor picked up two sandals the women had tied together and, that those sandals dont make a pair, a person can not wear a red sandlal on one foot and a blue one on the other foot, he told them to untie them and make sure the sandals in each pair are the same colour ,they were unhappy but they had to obey
Some of the people had finished to paint some pictures, the pictures painted were very good and so beautiful .though others did not know how to paint, pictures of a sweet and good compound had been painted, and the picture of a well as well
The advisor told them to finish their work as soon as possible to work out their craft, and also to be sure to tidy up every thing, and also told them that the ministry is ready and willing to give prizes to the people who had made the best objects
