How Stress is becoming the number one killer and how it can be avoided.
It is produced when, the events of life whether physical or psychological, are greater than the ability to cope.
Psychological stress may be for positive reasons (a new job) or negative (the loss of job). In all cases the repercussions on the body are very similar.
Effects
While stress can affect all of the organs ad functions of the body, its effects tend to be concentrated on:
-The heart and the cardiovascular system, which is obliged to work harder.
-The immune system, which is weakened in favor of other bodily functions. This reduces resistance to infections, and probably cancer as well, and other diseases.
Food nutrients
Certain foods can help the body adapt to stress, while others weaken it. A Germany study found vitamin c can help reduce stress and return blood pressure to normal level. Eating foods like oranges and avocados help lower the blood pressure. Walnuts, oats and almond can also have the same effect.
