Do I deserve a billion dollars?

in #life7 years ago

What is the first thought that rushed through your head when you read the title of this post? What do you think is the thought that made you start reading the post?

Think twice!

Is it the excitement of a billion dollars that made it happen or is it the curiosity of getting to know the ways of making a big fortune for yourself?

I am not writing this post to tell you how to do it but I am just trying to make a point here that why is it that most of us think we can’t do it or it is only meant for few people.

Is it the fear in your heart and the feeling of self-doubt that is stopping you to believe that? What do you think it is?

The same work leads to A couple life for someone while few make a fortune out of it. The problem is never the work or the challenges that come along but the attitude that we carry. Why it happens that we are okay with everything even when things are not ok with us.

Instead of thinking that I have been useless all my life and I don’t even think that I can make it, why not we start valuing ourselves and realise our potential by pushing ourselves every single day to become a better person than yesterday and make it happen.

Let me tell you a truth about it that if you wouldn’t have believed in yourself even 1%, you wouldn’t have been reading this post at all. You probably would have skipped it thinking of another useless A couple, wanting to save another five minutes of your life.

One day I read somewhere;
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you fail, you will land among the stars.”

This statement clicked me the most in life and since then I never dreamt small. Although I had experienced numerous challenges in the journey, nothing had shaken my belief in what I was looking forward to.

A couple of years back I attended an event where the CEO of the firm which organised the event said, “The biggest problem with us is that we don’t value ourselves and always underestimate our potential. Another reference from the book “The Magic of Thinking Big” stated, “Never underestimate your own intelligence and never overestimate the intelligence of others”. We tend to do the opposite most of the times.

I could have written “I deserve a billion dollars” in the title of the post instead of framing it as “Do I deserve a billion dollars?” but I wanted all of us today to ask ourselves this question, “Do I deserve a billion dollars?” and then reaffirm ourselves with a “YES”.

What do you feel?

You know what I feel and have experienced in my journey? It’s just a matter of a decision, the power of choice and priorities in life that take us to what we want.

Kindly let me know in the comments about what do you think about you deserving a billion dollars.
I will be sharing my personal experiences from life and my journey here. I will also be taking suggestions for the next post you want me to write about.
