I don't imagine this to be a persistent problem if the number of new users declines.
Putting effort into a post or comment that actually contributes to and develops ideas will earn you a lot more per hour than spamming every possible post and annoying dolphins/whales, it will probably take some new users a while to realize that.
The spam farmers who don't change will hopefully notice that they're putting hours of work in to make a couple of pennies and start begging elsewhere - it's up to us as a community to make sure spamfarmers don't succeed.
Quality over quantity.
That's what I hope. I hope it becomes quickly apparent that this 'strategy' is far less effective than actually putting a bit of effort in.
Just hopefully it's not actually working well for them!
