This is way I need a cornea transplant!!

in #life6 years ago

At the doctors office and the medical assistant asked about my eye condition and if it was visible. I never thought to look before so I was shocked! This is what kerataconus (sp?) looks like.

Sorry to hear about your eyes. Do not rub it, it might cause more harm to rub it. 100% upvoted.

I was hoping after I talked to you about it, you would post. Hope you can get the money up to get your eyes fixed. Here is a 100% upvote. Hope it will help! Resteemed!

I'm coming into this conversation a little late. What causes that to happen?

Keratoconus, often referred to as ‘KC’, is a non-inflammatory eye condition in which the typically round dome-shaped cornea progressively thins and weakens, causing the development of a cone-like bulge and optical irregularity of the cornea. This causes ‘static’ in your vision and can result in significant visual loss and may lead to corneal transplant in severe cases.

I am at the point of needing a transplant in my right eye. That is the one in the pick and in my left eye I need to have a Corneal cross-linking dun.

Sorry I was slow to get back been a bit sick. Thanks

NO need to apologize. Thanks for explaining it. I'm hoping you get that stuff sorted out.

Good luck!
