Really nice post @alvorek. I can relate to most of what you included in this post as I was a shy guy when I was younger (still fairly shy even now). Having Asperger's made me very shy mostly because I was naturally awkward anyway. Liking a girl basically tripled that level of awkwardness and made me exceedingly shy.

At the time I didn't know that I was an Aspie, therefore I just though that I was a naturally awkward shy guy.
