Hector above is you at the idea of using your tax return for responsible adulting. For just this year, and this year alone, let's all make a point to use the entirety of our tax returns to pay long overdue debts. Student loans are a thing of another creature, but we all have credit cards or personal loan debt from friends and family, and it's easy to get fixated on buying that new GTX1080TI or Xbox One X.

Your vehicle has a problem, you've been treading awhile now hoping whatever it is doesn't go wrong, and it's time to handle it.

Big business is in the business of keeping you down and poor. Let's take a look at the front page of eBay for example:

They're in the business of making money, and this means manipulating you into an impulsive spending spree instead of taking care of your responsibilities. Steam will have a blowout sale, Amazon will do some lightning deals thing, everyone will bombard you for that tax return.

This year you're going to tell all of them. FUCK YOU.

I hope you'll join me in paying off my $3,000 in credit card debt this year, you wont have anything to show for it, but you'll feel so much better with the weight of interest building and late payment fines off your back. I promise.

Sort:

Even if I was working currently, the only debt I have right now are university fees which is taken as PAYG tax anyway.

God bless this country.

But yeah people, pay your debts.
