Happy and comfortable isn't always good and right. Being out of your comfort zone has many benefits.
Fun is always needed, for without it, life becomes harsh and brutal, but hanging out with the same people usually doesn't lead to any kind of growth - at least that is my experience.
I've found it much more valuable to talk to people you don't know. Talking to homeless people is also very interesting.
