Fast paced week

sketch-1549711956971.pngThe time has completely flown past me in these last few days, I cannot believe it is Monday morning already!

I spent the weekend multi tasking to the best of my abilities so I could complete more tasks than I imagined. I wish I could spend all of my time working on one thing, but that's not the way my life is designed.

I'm a wife and a step mother to two amazing young girls. I have a house to clean, mouths to feed and happiness to be maintained. I also work part time in a call center Monday through Friday. I don't work very many hours now, but each day I work takes me 6 hours to prepare for. and 3-4 hours to recover from.

I need recovery time because I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome- CRPS. Along with fibromyalgia, scoliosis, herniated discs and pinched nerves. I'm a mess. But I'm still trying to live in these shoes I was walking before CRPS, even if they turned to slippers.

In addition to all of those things, I'm the event coordinator for the 1st and 2nd Annual Walk to Conquer CRPS here in Halifax. Plans for the 3rd Annual event will begin soon and I look to expand into every province here in Canada. In the last 2 years, we have raised $2,900 towards Medical Research for a new CRPS treatment. I'm also raising awareness and support to other CRPS Warriors with my #ConquerCRPS mission and have been working hard on this, with the help of some amazing other warriors, since the 1st event.

Lately, I've been trying to help myself first. That's a hard step for me, but it is necessary for progress. I am crafting again to save the Earth Warrior in me and it helps others too. "Upcycling saves the world, one creation at a time". I'll be launching Sew Earthy Creations this week again after many years and will always have it there as a passion project. My creations will be available on Etsy and Facebook for now, but email requests will always be available too ;)

As we come close to the last 100 days of my 365 day challenge- Spoonie Edition, I want to propose a thought to any other chronic pain warrior, or any Spoonie, who is reading this:

What if we spent ALL spent the last 100 days, or even 75 days, writing about what it's like living in the shoes (or slippers) of a Spoonie? #Spooniewayfor100days <3 We do not have to write everyday (Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays is my schedule) and it doesn't have to be anything special (Have you read some of my entries?). But we would be doing it TOGETHER and we are #StrongerTogether.

It would start mid December, so this gives you all time to think or to let other Spoonies and Warriors know about this :) More details coming, but if you have any questions: leave a comment or email [email protected] <3

On that lovely note, there is much to do this morning and this week. I was going to make this entry short and sweet, but we're already past 500 words. What can I say? I love you guys :)

Make today a great day with positive thinking and be kind to your mind everyone <3

Positive thoughts,

-Kristen Sparkle
