Your job is to be yourself

What’s the job of a fish? Swimming and eating! That’s the best thing he can do in order to help the ecosystem and the planet earth continue its course.

If the fish tomorrow sees a bird flying over the ocean and decides he wants to fly as well and build nests and eat fishes, it will represent him a lot of effort and work and ultimately he will die because nature doesn’t support this.

His only one job is being a fish and that’s his way of helping the world. It’s given.

But what’s the difference between the fish and I, if we all come from nature and belong to the same ecosystem?

‘We all come from start dust’, said astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson in one of my favorite documentaries, Cosmos. We all come from the same source and from the same chaos we were born, whether you believe in the creation of God or in evolution.

But even in a microscopical level, there isn’t much difference between the way cells and atoms are grouped in a fish, a tree and even myself.

What makes us different from the fish is our minds and our free will, and the fact that we use them to separate. We feel isolated and disconnected from our source and it’s then when we start acting like that fish that wants to be a bird. We won’t die like him physically but spiritually, deep inside, we do.

You, as that fish are here with a set of likes, dislikes, emotions, values, that make you unique and that in being so you are helping the course of the world to hold itself.

All you gotta do is to listen carefully inside and flow, and foremost be yourself.

With love,

To know yourself is the only true quest in life. Then to follow the path of least resistance to the things that you are inspired to create, that is living.
