The Mistery of Diabetes "It's True"

in #life7 years ago

when talking about insulin, then what we have in mind must be diabetes
when the pancreas produces insulin in very little or none at all, that is where diabetes is formed.

if you already have this disease, surely the doctor will advise not to consume excessive sugar. but apparently, there are some safe fruits that doctors recommend.

although the fruit has a sweet taste, but do not let one guess because for people with diabetes is highly recommended to set the diet and do not forget the importance of vitamin content in the fruit. Here is a list of fruits for diabetics that are safe for consumption, including:

  1. Grapes
All types of grapes contain polyphenols. Polyphenols are also known as antioxidants that can help fight free radicals in the body. Grape skin and flesh contains many polyphenols, and have high antioxidant content. Grapes is very good for you, because it also contains fiber and low in calories. This fruit is believed to reduce your risk of diabetes, stroke, cancer, and obesity. However, you still have to control the portion you eat.

  2. Berries
If you love strawberries, blueberries, and other berries, that's a good sign, because berries are a super fruit for diabetics. They contain antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber, plus this fruit is low in its glycemic index. In 100 grams of fresh blueberries, has 57 calories and 14.5 grams of carbohydrates. One serving of strawberries, able to give 100% of your vitamin C needs. In 100 grams of strawberries, contains 32 calories and 7.8 grams of carbohydrates.

  3. Bananas
The average medium-sized banana contains about 27 to 30 grams of carbohydrates, more than half of these carbohydrates are made up of sugar. The bigger the size of the banana, the higher the sugar content in it. Bananas contain vitamin B-6, C, manganese, potassium, and high fiber. The content of vitamin B-6 can help diabetics to reduce stress and regulate metabolism. It plays an important role in diabetes management. Potassium content can also help keep blood pressure, and also contribute to the overall health of the cardiovascular system. Choose a ripe banana but not too ripe, the ideal banana is a banana that still has a little green color on the skin.

  4. Apple
This fruit contains vitamin A, calcium, iron, vitamin C, and high fiber. Keep in mind that a medium-sized apple has a glycemic index of about 37, which means lower than the lowest dosage category. To eat apples, do not peel the skin, because it is the most nutritious and contains many antioxidants.

do not forget to consume fresh fruit premises do not add sugar in it. and never eat canned fruit because canned fruits contain artificial sweeteners that can be harmful for people with diabetes.

Let's live healthy

Thanks - Upvoted. I'd like to add that it's not necessarily the sugar, but the carbs that matter. I see you list them for the fruits, but many people misunderstand that carbs don't only hide in sweet food, but also in products like bread, rice, pizza, cereal and so forth. It's often not about what carbs, but about how many of them. So grapes are ok, but not in excessive amounts.
