@Travelgasm here and today I want to introduce you to my home town and share with you the new found appreciation I have for it!

I'm from a very tiny town in the Southwest of England called Ilfracombe in the county of Devon and when I say small, I mean small. I think around 10,000 people live here, although it is a popular tourist spot in the summer because of our coastline and beaches!

You can see what I mean about the coastline? It's beautiful!

I mentioned my 'new found' appreciation and that's genuinely what it is. Words cannot describe to you how much I hated living here until i was around 21. It's small, uninspiring, boring and it's full of people that I don't want to be around.

However, I started travelling when I was 22 and as most of you know—my travels took me all over the world. I love and appreciate everywhere new that I see! So, when I returned home finally for Christmas, I made it my goal to learn to love the area around me.

The good thing about Devon is that it's a hot stop for nature lovers. It's full of beautiful scenery and open, fresh-aired countryside—and I LOVE nature. So I've been using my free time to go and explore!

The hills don't stop rolling and stretch the whole way around the Southwest!

I'm happy that I am opening up to loving where I am from... It always made me feel sad to hear people talking about their hometowns with such pride when I was doing everything possible to not go back to mine!

I won't be here for long as i have huge plans this year to visit the Middle East and African but while I'm home I'll be taking advantage of he views like this!
