I totally agree. Having kids with the expectation of being financially supported by them in the future is completely wrong. Even more, with the state of the current economy where kids will probably have a lot more financial difficulties than the parents...

Sorry for such a late reply :P But yeah, you're right. People today have a harder time with money than their parents or grandparents did. Not saying that it was easy for them, but they could at least think about buying a house, for example, and they did. People today though, can often only dream about it.
