Yes, it is a lovely country all right, now let's just hope that those in power, those with the ability to do so, will help to protect it.
Sorry, I just saw on TV3's The Project tonight about the kauri dieback disease issue, which I had just written a blog post about earlier this week, and how it is even threateningᵃ the mighty Tāne Mahutaᵇ, "Lord of the Forest" up in the Waipoua Forest in Northland. I've met him in person, that wonderful tree, and I'd hate to learn of his demise.
New Zealand is beautiful. Unfortunately we've already lost the right to the "100% Pure" marketing slogan, with our dodgy water quality record. Let's not lose our "Clean Green" image internationally too.
