Why do we lie when it's easier telling the truth

The question is why do people lie? Why do people lie to those they claim to love... We are not perfect maybe thats why... Maybe we just Have to lie. But why..The ignoring and most hurtful one is when people lie about little things.When they don't put effort when lying, this means no composure, organization.
