2. K’un/The Receptive — 36. Ming I/Darkening of the Light

According to the I Ching, you will be up against strong opposition right through to the end of the week. Power and influence favour that of your enemies. And it is possible that you will be in their crosshairs.

The 2nd hexagram, emphasizes the importance of knowing how to yield to strong opposing forces while protecting your inner light. It favours you to follow or seek guidance to achieve your long term goals. In yielding, we must take care to learn and know the difference between right and wrong. So that we can take the unassuming role without allowing ourselves to be tricked into making the wrong move.

It is a high art form to be able to understate your true value, avoiding jealous or malicious forces that will use any trick in the book to thwart your objectives. Just as wise men took refuge in shelters to weather out storms, you must learn to cloak your inner light so as to protect it from those that wish to destroy it.
