Acro-Yoga: A Life Lesson in Trust and Friendship
"A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities."-William Arthur Ward
My dear friend, who happens to be a yoga instructor, has been practicing acro-yoga for years and has sparked that interest in me as well. Through her guidance, she has helped me and we have both grown together in our practice and our friendship. We've learned valuable lessons along the way in strength-building, faith and trust.
When you engage in an activity where you put your life in someone else's hands, there are endless opportunities for both negative and positive things to arise. Some positive aspects have been the chance to test the boundaries of trust and literally be lifted up by one another and encourage each other to build our strength mentally and physically. There is also some satisfaction in feeling empowered after you've challenged yourself and come out sucessful.
Truth is, it can also just be plain fun!
That looks like a lot of fun and you gals look pretty strong ;-)
Aww, thank you! We definitely try!
