Headstands: Tripod and Waterfall Yoga Headstands
Sometimes, when I have a great deal of fun doing a physical activity, whether it involves riding my bike or practicing headstands, I like to think of a life lesson or parallel thought to go along with that activity and give it a rounder meaning. Since one could posit that doing a headstand involves looking at the world from a different perspective, I felt inspired when I read these powerful little quotes below.
"Sometimes the situation is only a problem because it is looked at in a certain way. Looked at in another way, the right course of action may be so obvious that the problem no longer exists." -Edward De Bono
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." -Winston Churchill
Yeah, looking at things from a different perspective really changes how you view your personal situation. People who are "First-World" have a difficult time because we're spoiled. But the moment you view things from a "Third-World" perspective...it makes your problems seem kinda small and petty.
Very true! Thanks for sharing those thoughts and that perspective :-)
