Gifts are gold in the eyes of the children. When they receive gifts it seems that they receive a million price with enthusiasm, hope and joy. They do not have worries, just pure bliss.

As a cheerful giver, St.Lourdes Choir of St. Michaels Cathedral of Iligan City in cooperation with the 4th Mechanize Brigade, (MSU-IIT CED) Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology College of Education, Kindergarten teachers of Iligan City Central School conducted a gift giving for the children of Dalamas Integrated School, the event took place last February 11, 2018 at DIS. The gift giving program started with a prayer and a welcome remarks given by the school principal Mr. Ricardo B. Valdez Jr.

The MSU-IIT CED gave a very cheerful dance number for the kids prior to the parlor games that was spearheaded by the St. Lourdes Choir and facilitated by the teachers of Dalamas. Not only the kids enjoyed it but also the facilitators, cheered and laugh their hearts out with much happiness. It took sometime to declare the winners because they took the games seriously and performed well, the winners received some gifts as a reward.

After which, the most awaited part came, the giving of gifts. They received snacks, toys, bags, school supplies, a 2 kilos of rice with can goods, and slippers. Before they went off, lunch were given to them.

Indeed, the half day event was successful not just because of the happiness they saw in the eyes of the children but also the fulfillment by the ones who made it possible.

Thank you St.Lourdes Choir of St. Michaels Cathedral, 4th Mechanize Brigade, MSU-IIT CED, Kindergarten teachers of ICCS for sharing us your GASA (Blessings). Thank you for the gifts. Thank you for making our children happy. May the Lord God blessed you abundantly.
