Museum of icons, created by renowned physician and philanthropist Olga Bogomolets, which brought together over 15 years and has saved from the destruction of more than 5,000 home images from all over the country. Today they are in the exhibition halls of the castle, where each visit the castle "Radomysl" may actually see this unique exhibition.

In every region of Ukraine folk icon painting had its own characteristics, its colors, finishes, execution style, technique of iconography. All the icons are different from the canonical Byzantine tradition, so that the images on them were more alive, human, with emotions on their faces. Jesus portrayed as a healthy happy boy, Maria - a ruddy buxom woman. Every saint has his human traits and characteristics. But, depending on the region, "human traits" folk icons vary widely, trying to get as close to the realities of the time. EXHIBITS IN THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL COMPLEX OF ICONS "THE CASTLE RADOMYSL"

All the exhibits of the museum - is the icon-orphans once thrown out of the house and miraculously rescued in times of militant atheism from destruction. Due to the existing exposition of icons of the museum, and now they have finally found shelter and returned to the people.

Among them - the sculpture of the Archangel Michael with a bullet-feeding, the icon with punctured eyes, chest, made from images of beheaded, shutters sawn in half of the icon. Some icons have been removed from the flame.

Collection of icons Radomyshl Castle represents the outlook of thousands of Ukrainian families from all over Ukraine and the evolution of the Ukrainian people for centuries. It allows us to look into the past, to touch the soul of their ancestors, feel like and how they lived, dreamed, hoped for.
