Don't let others make you feel guilty!

It's very common to feel guilty for not doing what others say we "should" be doing, right? I can't even remember, how many times I felt guilty after getting advice from my relatives or even from my family members. I sometimes ask myself, is it affecting my self-esteem and ethics? I think the answer is Yes and it would also be yes if you also ask yourselves.

Feeling guilty depending on what others are expecting from us, what their advice is towards us is like letting others decide our life. We often don't take it seriously. But this is actually happening throughout our life. We can have the key to our life in our own hands. That doesn't mean that we can't get advice or we have to be offensive.

Here are some of the tips that I follow to get over from the burden that others try to give me.

• Don't carry others burden. Our family fixes what we should do in the future. If you think that is best for you, you love then it's okay. But if not, don't carry others 'should' in your shoulder.

• Be the creator of your own life. Decide what you want in your life. Don't feel bad what others would think. Like if you believe in certain things, let it be open. Don't hide your opinion and decision because of others.

• Figure out thing. When we oppose others, they usually want to see something meaningful from us. So be sure what you are going to do.

• Don't seek approval. Don't make others fix your life choice. From clothing to religious belief; be confident in yourself.

Guilty feeling and fighting with it needs a lot of courage. And when we feel offended, feel guilty in others' opinions and acts; it's really tough to handle that. So, we have to work on our self- steem first to talk against everything we don't believe and have to make us strong to do that. And then we can work on the above points, I believe.
