Many people like to be the smartest person in the room when it comes to being the one who is talking, this is because we all have some level of ego and narcissism, however, some people have it worse than others. By being the smartest person in the room you're actually letting yourself down, not only will you not be able to learn from other people but it may end up in those people looking at you in a different light or in a different way.
Why it is good to be the dumbest person in the room - Well it is pretty simple actually if you're the smartest person in the room all the time, guess what? You're probably not going to learn anything or you're just staying in the same spot and not meeting other people that are any smarter than you. If you are able to surround yourself with people who make you feel like you're a little bit less smart then you're on a track for progression.
