Essential Oils for Weightloss
We all want to look and feel great! There are so many fad diets that are being pushed our way, all claiming to deliver incredible results with minimum effort on our part. But how true is that??
If you ask all those people who are always on diet, they will truthfully tell you that they don't work! That is why they are always running off to the next celebrity diet, never really letting the truth sink in.
The only fool-proof way to lose weight is to eat healthy and consistently workout. The science behind weightloss is burning more calories than you consume. That means doing away with junk food, processed foods and sugar.
There are other ways that can help you in the weightloss journey such as essential oils. These are:
- Grapefruit Oil
- It is a diuretic and lymphatic stimulant. This means that it increases the flow of urine which gets rid of toxins and improves the circulation of oxygen and nutrients to the body tissues improving muscle regeneration and the immune system.
- Breaks down fat in your body.
- Lowers cravings and hunger.
- Cinammon Oil
- Regulates blood glucose levels by lowering insulin resistance. It increases insulin sensitivity, making insulin more efficient at moving glucose to cells.
- Ginger Oil
- Reduces sugar cravings.
- Reduces inflammation in the body.
-Improves absorption of vitamins and minerals.
-It's an antioxidant. This prevents damage to cells.
- Lemon Oil
- Boosts energy levels
- Rejuvenates skin and body healing.
- Reduces heartburn.
- Stimulates white blood cells production improving your immunity.
- Peppermint Oil
- Cleanses the lymphatic system thereby aiding blood circulation.
- Is an anti-inflammatory thereby reducing redness, swelling and pain.
- Lemongrass
- It is an antioxidant which boosts your immune system.
Essential oils are very potent and can damage your skin. Always mix with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or almond oil before applying it on your skin. Apply on your neck, forehead, chest, arms, abdomen and legs. Avoid sensitive areas such as; ears, eyes and mouth or where there is cracked or damaged skin!
You can use a few drops in your bath or add it to your body lotion.
You can ingest by putting a few drops in water or tea and taking them in capsules. You can also inhale from the bottle or put a few drops in your palms, rub and cover over your mouth or nose to inhale.
Remember, this is to supplement your healthy diet and exercise regimen.
