That is a great verse that tells us about what love is. Now the challenge is living that every day. It is a verse that is widely used and not as widely understood. I think John 15:13 is an amazing definition of love.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.

That doesn't mean you have to die for them. In fact, dying for them would not be as good. Imagine, if you lived your life for others. That would be more of a sacrifice than dying.
